A smile should last a lifetime…
Current trends in the dental market are beginning to show just how popular aesthetic dentistry and cosmetic dentistry is becoming in the UK of late, with treatments such as dental implants like the ‘All on 4 implants’ gaining a much higher profile.
While many people have perhaps concluded that the ‘Hollywood Smile’ is indeed only found in Hollywood, it would seem that this actually isn’t the case at all, as British people begin to take more interest in their oral health and appearance of their teeth.
One reason for this is of course the cult of celebrity, which has slowly impacted on the way in which people want to present themselves to the world. In fact, look at any celebrity before fame and afterwards and you’ll see the teeth are noticeably different pretty consistently.
However, it’s very important to understand that truly good dental treatments are about your oral health first, with the aesthetic elements forming an important part of any result, rather than the other way around.
This is because while you may think something like teeth whitening is going to make you look better and perhaps feel more confident, it fails to address any oral health issues. For example, you may have tooth erosion, crooked teeth or in lots of cases, gum disease. Therefore, by only addressing what people see you are not really doing anything that will last.
At Advanced Dentistry we feel it is very important for us to provide treatments that not only improve the way you look when you smile, but that also ensure any underlying dental issues are addressed for the long-term.
The benefit to this kind of approach in dental care is that the aesthetics will last much longer and will improve your overall health and well-being in the process. Or to put it another way, there is no point painting a wall if you know the damp underneath is going to come through soon after.
If you want a beautiful smile that will give you confidence and make your life better, don’t look for a shortcut as it’s a false economy. Look for treatment that will enhance every single aspect of your oral health and that smile you crave will last a lifetime.
