You can always be sure that you will get the highest quality of care.

Cosmetic dental treatments

We’re committed to providing treatment that is carried out with the highest level of precision, quality and skill. The result will be a beautiful, natural smile with healthy teeth and gums for years to come. Our cosmetic dental treatments and solutions include:

The tooth veneer is made of composite or porcelain, it is then bonded to the front of the tooth. The purpose is to hide tooth damage or discolouring of the teeth. Dentists also use this to cover gaps in teeth. A very popular choice for many people, read more on our teeth veneers blog page.

Otherwise known as a type of tooth cap covering, made from metal, ceramic or porcelain. Generally used to cover teeth that are severely damaged and need to be strengthened. These are very long lasting, up to 30 years, so a good option for a single tooth.

Dental implants

Teeth implants are used when usually a single tooth is missing or several teeth are very damaged or decayed. The tooth implant acts as a root, (a titanium screw) to fix the new tooth to, usually a crown.

Composite bonding

This treatment can be applied to teeth that have minor gaps, chips, or minor damage and discolouration. Read our guide on composite bonding for teeth. The resin is put on to restore the natural look of the teeth. It’s a fast and effective way to resolve cosmetic dental problems. And it’s usually a cheaper alternative to crowns or veneers, can last on average up to 5 years.

Teeth cleaning & whitening

Whitening teeth involves using a dental bleaching gel, sometimes it is only possible to go one shade or a few shades lighter, check with your dentist. Only a registered dental professional should carry out this work. Teeth whitening is not available on the NHS, it is a private cost to the patient. It is not a permanent whitening treatment, it varies patient to patient. Professional teeth cleaning is carried out by a trained hygienist, for adults it’s recommended to have that treatment at least once a year.

A smile makeover!

Cosmetic dentistry has become increasingly popular in recent years. A beautiful smile with healthy gums and teeth is something we all desire and it’s what our dental practice strives to provide for all our patients. But cosmetic dentistry is not just about the latest fad in smile makeovers.

It is important to understand what happens before and after treatment. Ask questions during your dental consultation. As shown here we have one of our middle-aged patients who had a problem with an uneven gum line and worn down discoloured teeth. The solution was to reshape her gums and restore her teeth with porcelain veneers.

To ensure the continued health of your teeth and beauty of your smile, you need to be sure that the advice you receive is in your best personal interest. In other words, you need to understand the different cosmetic treatment options available and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Our goal is to provide you with just that, and we will not be afraid to advise you against any procedures that we feel are not in your best interest. As a rule, we always seek the most conservative solution to achieving a beautiful smile so that we maintain the health and integrity of your teeth.
