CASE STUDY 10 – TOOTH COLOURED FILLINGS AND BONDING

Back teeth where old amalgam fillings have been replaced with tooth coloured fillings.

With the correct choice of material and meticulous technique, excellent results and durability can be achieved. A rubber dam is routinely used to prevent inadvertent swallowing of the debris drilled out of the tooth and provides an excellent seal to prevent contamination of the cavities with saliva bacteria which cause secondary tooth decay.

Closing localised spaces between teeth with tooth-coloured composite bonding is relatively simple, long-lasting and non-invasive.
